Welcome to Boronia Osteopathy
Dr Aaron Ngo brings a more gentle approach to restoring muscle and joint health.
TREATMENTS WE PROVIDE
Osteopathy uses a combination of techniques such as low level manipulation, passive joint mobility, injury recovery & prevention, corrective exercises, massage and soft tissue release to bring pain relief and optimal movement.

Craniosacral Therapy
The craniosacral system is the membrane and fluid that surrounds, protects and nourishes the brain and spinal cord. If there are restrictions in cranial mobility or neural tension, this can reduce the health and performance of the central nervous system. Osteopathy treatment can help relieve these pressures and restore mobility, therefore reducing stress on this system.

Corrective Exercises
Once imbalances are identified and corrected, your Osteopath will advise you how to prevent these problems from reoccurring whilst strengthening the musculoskeletal system. Most of these will be easy to follow, home based exercises, gentle in nature to engage the correct muscles and joint positions.

Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a type of massage which focuses on releasing tension in the fascia of the body. Fascia is a strong connective tissue that surrounds muscles and organs and is often responsible for conditions such as pain, stiffness and limited range of motion.

HVLA/Manipulation
HVLA (High Velocity Low Amplitude) is a short fast movement applied to a spinal segment or joint to move it through its restrictive barrier. It aims to increase range of motion and decrease pain by stimulating surrounding soft tissues and calming the neural tension. Sometimes popping can be heard, this is just pressure releasing from the joint fluid and is perfectly safe.

Joint Mobilisation and Articulation
Joint Mobilization and Articulation are gentle gliding movements of the joint surfaces. Designed to increase localized movement and release pressure within the joint, this passive method is a comfortable way to increase range of movement.

Deep Tissue Massage
Our Most Popular Massage type! Deep Tissue Massage can be Uncomfortable during the Treatment Session but the Benefits Far Outweigh the Soreness afterward. Best for clients who prefer a Deep Pressure or for Particularly Stubborn areas of Soft Tissue or Adhesions/Scarring.

Testimonials
What is the Difference between an Osteopath and Chiropractor?
Both Therapies are similar in their approach to wholistic body treatment. Osteopathy in general is a more gentle approach than Chiropractic. It is especially great for patients who tend to tense up during adjustments or manipulations.
Most Osteopathic appointments are 45 minutes. this allows time to assess the problem and use a range of methods, including dry needling, massage and heat before manipulation so the body is relaxed.
